    Application no. 28658/10
    Ali KARTAL
    against Turkey
    lodged on 19 April 2010

    QUESTIONS TO THE PARTIES

    1.  Was the length of the applicants pre-trial detention in breach of the “reasonable time” requirement of Article 5 § 3 of the Convention? Were the reasons given by the first-instance court for the applicants continued detention sufficient to justify the length of the detention in question, within the meaning of Article 5 § 3 of the Convention?

    2.  Was the length of the criminal proceedings in the present case in breach of the “reasonable time” requirement of Article 6 § 1 of the Convention?

The parties are requested to submit documents as to whether and/or when the applicant was released from prison.
