of the Competition Act, 1991.

No. CA/982/92E - Spar (Ireland) Limited; BWG Foods Limited; Sancroft Limited.
Decision
No. 23
1. An
equipment supply and merchandising agreement between Spar (Ireland) Limited,
BWG Foods Limited and Sancroft Limited was notified to the Competition
Authority on 30 September 1992. The notification requested a licence.
2. On
25 May 1993 the notifying party's legal representatives informed the Authority
that the notified agreement was terminated on 17 February 1993 and requested
withdrawal of the notification.
The
Decision
3. The
Competition Authority has decided, on the basis that the notified agreement was
terminated and that no agreement between undertakings now exists, that it will
not be issuing a licence in respect of notification no. CA/982/92E. The
Authority, therefore, accepts the withdrawal of notification no. CA/982/92E -
Spar (Ireland) Limited, BWG Foods Limited and Sancroft Limited.
