An Act to amend section 31 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 ; and to provide for related matters. [2nd July, 2013] |

Be it enacted by the Oireachtas as follows: |
||
|
Amendment of section 31 of Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 |
||
|
1. Section 31 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 is amended— |
||
|
(a) in subsection (5) by substituting the following paragraph for paragraph (a): |
||
|
“(a) A housing authority shall, in accordance with regulations made for the purposes of this section, not later than the date prescribed by the Minister for the purposes of this subsection, make a scheme (in this Act referred to as a ‘rent scheme’) providing for the manner in which rents and other charges referred to in subsection (3) shall be determined.”, |

and |
||
|
(b) in subsection (6)— |
||
|
(i) by deleting paragraph (b), and |
||
|
(ii) in paragraph (e), by deleting “the cost of providing social housing support and”. |

Short title and collective citation |
||
|
2. (1) This Act may be cited as the Housing (Amendment) Act 2013. |
||
|
(2) The Housing Acts 1966 to 2009 and this Act may be cited together as the Housing Acts 1966 to 2013. |
