MINISTERS AND SECRETARIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1928 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1928. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of section 5 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1928 , (No. 8 of 1928), that that Act shall come into operation on such day as may be fixed by an order of the Executive Council: | ||
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Act should come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1928: | ||
NOW the Executive Council, in exercise of the power in that behalf conferred on them by the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1928 (No. 8 of 1928), and of every and any other power them in that behalf enabling do hereby order as follows:— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1928 (Commencement) Order, 1928. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The 1st day of September, 1928, is hereby fixed and appointed as the day on which the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1928 (No. 8 of 1928), shall come into operation. | ||
