WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT, 1934 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1934. | ||
WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT, 1934 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1934, MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE ON THE 20th DAY OF JUNE, 1934, PURSUANT TO SECTION 2 of THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT, 1934 . | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by section 2 of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for that purpose by order of the Minister for Industry and Commerce. | ||
NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 2 of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling does hereby order as follows:— | ||
1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Workmen's Commensation Act, 1934 (Commencement) Order, 1934. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The first day of August, 1934, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 , shall come into operation. | ||
