BEEF VOUCHER (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1935.

BEEF VOUCHER (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1935.

WHEREAS by section 46 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934), power is conferred on the Minister for Agriculture to make, after consultation with the Minister for Local Government and Public Health and the Minister for Industry and Commerce, regulations for the purposes therein mentioned in relation to the supply of beef in pursuance of Part IX of that Act by means of beef vouchers :

AND WHEREAS the Beef Voucher Regulations, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 351 of 1934), were made by the Minister for Agriculture under the powers conferred on him by the said section 46 :

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, after consultation with the Minister for Local Government and Public Health and the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 46 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order and make the following Regulations, that is to say :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Beef Voucher (Amendment) Regulations, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. In these Regulations the expression " the Principal Regulations " means the Beef Voucher Regulations, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 351 of 1934).

4. Immediately upon the coming into operation of these Regulations, sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 5 of the Principal Regulations shall cease to have effect.

5. As on and from the day on which these Regulations come into operation, the Schedule to these Regulations shall be substituted for the Second Schedule to the Principal Regulations, and all references in the Principal Regulations to the Second Schedule thereto shall be construed and have effect as references to the Schedule to these Regulations, and the Principal Regulations shall have effect accordingly.

6. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 15th day of April, 1935.
