THE WIDOWS' AND ORPHANS' PENSIONS (APPOINTED DAYS) ORDER, 1935. | ||
The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 8 of the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1935 , hereby orders as follows:— | ||
1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Appointed Days) Order, 1935. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , shall apply to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. In this Order unless the context otherwise requires the following expressions shall have the meanings hereinafter respectively assigned to them :— | ||
" the Act " means the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1935 ; | ||
" the Minister " means the Minister for Local Government and Public Health ; | ||
" the first appointed day " and " the second appointed day " mean the days appointed by the Minister under Section 8 of the Act to be the first appointed day and the second appointed day respectively for the purposes of the Act. | ||
4. The first appointed day shall be the 3rd January, 1936. The second appointed day shall be the 6th January, 1936. | ||
