EXPORTATION OF CERTAIN GOODS (PICKLED MACKEREL) ORDER, 1935

Order made by the Revenue Commissioners,

Dated 28th October, 1935.

The Revenue Commissioners, in pursuance of the powers conferred on them by Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, hereby order as follows:—

1. The exporter or shipper of any pickled mackerel intended for exportation on or after 28th October, 1935, and on or before 1st December, 1935, shall make due entry and obtain clearance of such pickled mackerel before shipment or exportation.

2. The entry required under paragraph 1 of this Order shall be made by delivering to the Collector or other proper Officer of Customs and Excise a Specification in the approved form, duly completed, in duplicate.

3. The entry shall specify, in addition to the other particulars required to be shown thereon,

(a) the name and address of the consignor of the pickled mackerel;

(b) the name and address of the consignee of the pickled mackerel; and

(c) the name and address of the owner of the pickled mackerel,

and shall in all cases contain a declaration on the part of the person making entry that the particulars in the entry are true and are correctly stated.

4. The clearance required under paragraph 1 of this Order shall be granted by the signature of the proper Officer of Customs and Excise on the document on which entry has been made in pursuance of this Order.

5. This Order shall come into operation on the 28th day of October, 1935.

6. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the first day of January, 1924.

7. This Order may be cited as the Exportation of Pickled Mackerel (Entry) Order, 1935.

EXPORTATION OF PICKLED MACKEREL.

1. Collection and other Officers concerned are informed that the Commissioners have made an Order (see Appendix) dated 28th October, 1935, under Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, requiring due entry and clearance before shipment or exportation of pickled mackerel shipped or exported on or before the 1st December, 1935.

2. The instructions contained in paragraphs 2 to 5 of General Order No. 82/1934 are, mutatis mutandis, to be applied.

3. A small supply of a Public Notice, in roneo, is being forward to Collectors for exhibition at ports or places of export.
