CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 13, SIXTH PERIOD) ORDER, 1937. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), that so long as any particular quota order is in force the Executive Council shall, during and not less than one month before the end of every quota period under such quota order by order— | ||
(a) appoint a period (beginning at the expiration of the said quota period) to be the next quota period under such quota order, and | ||
(b) appoint a specified quantity of goods to which such quota order applies to be the quota for the purposes of the said Act in respect of the said next quota period : | ||
AND WHEREAS by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13, Fifth Period) Order, 1936 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 253 of 1936), the Executive Council appointed the period beginning on the 1st day of November, 1936, and ending on the 30th day of April, 1937, to be the fifth quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 59 of 1935) : | ||
AND WHEREAS by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) (Amendment) Order, 1937, the said Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935, was amended by the deletion in paragraph (d) of Part I of the Schedule thereto of the words " are more than one shilling and three pence " and the substitution therefor of the words " exceed two shillings " : | ||
NOW. the Executive Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sub-section (2) of section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13, Sixth Period) Order, 1937. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The period beginning on the 1st day of May, 1937, and ending on the 31st day of August, 1937, is hereby appointed to be the sixth quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935 (which relates to certain woven tissues of wool or worsted). | ||
4. One hundred and thirty-four thousand square yards of woven tissues to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935, applies shall be the quota in respect of the said sixth quota period. | ||
