BOARDS OF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE (GENERAL REGULATIONS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1939. | ||
DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH. | ||
The Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Poor Relief (Ireland) Acts, 1838 to 1914, the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Acts, 1923 and 1924, and of every county or joint county scheme confirmed or amended by or in pursuance of the said last-mentioned Act, does hereby order as follows, that is to say :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Boards of Public Assistance (General Regulations) (Amendment) Order, 1939. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 , applies to the interpretation of this Order. | ||
3. This Order shall be construed as one with the Boards of Public Assistance General Regulations, 1924 to 1938, and may be cited collectively therewith as the Boards of Public Assistance General Regulations, 1924 to 1939. | ||
4. Article 32 of the County Boards of Health (General Regulations) Order, 1924, is hereby revoked, and the following article shall be substituted in its place :— | ||
32. Subject to the provisions of this Order, no person shall be appointed to or hold— | ||
(a) the office of wardsmaid or female attendant in a county institution who shall not have reached the age of eighteen years ; or | ||
(b) without the consent of the Minister previously obtained, any office under this Order, not being that of wardsmaid or female attendant in a county institution, who shall not have reached the age of twenty-one years. | ||
