THE CHILDREN ACT, 1941 (COMMENCEMENT OF SECTIONS 1, 6, 7, 9 TO 11, 13, 16 TO 20, AND 23 TO 31) ORDER, 1942.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (3) of section 31 of the Children Act, 1941 (No. 12 of 1941), that that Act shall come into operation on such day or days as may be fixed therefor by order or orders of the Minister for Education either generally or with reference to any particular section or sections and different days may be so fixed for different sections of that Act:

NOW, the Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 31 of the Children Act, 1941 (No. 12 of 1941), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Children Act, 1941 (Commencement of Sections 1, 6, 7, 9 to 11, 13, 16 to 20, and 23 to 31) Order, 1942.

2. The following sections of the Children Act. 1941 (No. 12 of 1941), shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1942, that is to say: sections 1, 6, 7, 9 to 11, 13, 16 to 20, and 23 to 31.
