The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 11 of the Trade Boards Act, 1909, as adapted by or under subsequent enactments, and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby makes the following Regulations : | ||

Short title and commencement | ||
1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Trade Boards (Women's Clothing and Millinery Trade) (Amendment) Regulations, 1944. | ||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 26th day of September, 1944. | ||
The Principal Regulations. | ||
2. In these Regulations, the expression " the Principal Regulations " means the Regulations with respect to the trade board for the women's clothing and millinery trade made by the Minister for Industry and Commerce under section 11 of the Trade Boards Act, 1909, on the 31st day of March, 1926, as amended by the Women's Clothing and Millinery Trade Board (Amendment) Regulations, 1935 ( S. R. & O. No. 684 of 1935 ), and the Women's Clothing and Millinery Trade Board (Amendment) Regulations, 1938 ( S. R. & O. No. 337 of 1938 ). | ||
Amendment of Principal Regulation. | ||
3. Every reference in the Principal Regulations to the trade to which the Principal Regulations relate (whether such reference is without qualification or includes a reference to the Trade Boards (Women's Clothing and Millinery) Order, 1926 ( S. R. & O. No. 8 of 1926 ), and the Schedule to the Principal Regulations) shall be construed as a reference to the women's clothing and millinery trade as specified in the Schedule to the Trade Boards (Women's Clothing and Millinery) Order, 1926 ( S. R. & O. No. 8 of 1926 ), as varied by the Trade Boards (Women's Clothing and Millinery) Order, 1926 (Variation) Order, 1944. | ||
