RIVERS OWENEA, OWENTOCKER AND BRACKY AND LOUGHROSMORE AND LOUGHROSBEG BAYS. | ||
CLOSE SEASON. | ||
I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers now exercisable by me under the Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1944, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby make the following By-Law, that is to say :— | ||
1. This By-Law may be cited as The Loughrosmore and Loughrosbeg Bays Close Season By-Law, No. C.S. 98, 1947. | ||
2. This By-Law shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1947, | ||
3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this By-Law. | ||
4. So much of any By-Law at present in force as governs the Annual Close Season for the taking of salmon or trout by engines other than single rod and line in the tidal portions of the Rivers Owenea, Owentocker, and Bracky, and in Loughrosmore and Loughrosbeg Bays, within or to the eastward of a straight line drawn from Dawros Head to Gull Island (off the townland of Glenlough) shall cease. | ||
5. There shall be kept and observed as the Annual Close Season for the taking of salmon or trout by engines other than single rod and line in the tidal portions of the Rivers Owenea, Owentocker and Bracky, and in Loughrosmore and Loughrosbeg Bays, within or to the eastward of a straight line drawn from Dawros Head to Gull Island (off the townland of Glenlough), in the County of Donegal, the period from the 11th day of July in each year to the 14th day of May in the year following, both said days inclusive. | ||
