WILD BIRDS (COUNTY DONEGAL) ORDER, 1948. |
||
WHEREAS the County Manager of the County of Donegal has applied to the Minister for Justice for an order prohibiting the taking or destroying in the County of Donegal of the eggs of any wild bird other than the wood pigeon, the hooded crow and the magpie because of the usefulness of wild birds to agriculture : |

NOW, I, SEÁN MAC EOIN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby, because of the usefulness of wild birds to agriculture, order as follows:-- |

1. This Order may be cited as the Wild Birds (County Donegal) Order, 1948. |
||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. |
||
3. (1) No person shall take or destroy in the County of Donegal the eggs of any wild bird. |
||
(2) Paragraph (1) of this Article shall not apply to-- |
||
(a) the eggs of the wood pigeon, the hooded crow and the magpie, |
||
(b) the eggs of any wild bird which are already prohibited from being taken or destroyed under the Wild Birds (County Donegal) Order., 1938 ( S. R. & O. No. 310 of 1938 ). |
