I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), hereby order as follows :-- |

1. This Order may be cited as the Tea (Wholesale Distribution) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1948. |
||
2. In this Order, the expression " the Principal Order " means the Tea (Wholesale Distribution) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 201 of 1947 ). |
||
3. This Order shall be construed as one with the Principal Order. |
||
4.--(1) In Article 2 of the Principal Order, the reference in paragraph (b) of the definition of the expression " the ration " to the quantity of tea which the licensed wholesaler was authorised to deliver to the licensed retailer during the standard month shall, as respects the month of June, 1948, and every subsequent month, be construed as a reference to that quantity increased by 331/3 per cent. |
||
(2) Every direction given for the purposes of the Principal Order which increases or reduces the ration of a particular licensed retailer shall, as respects the month of June, 1948, and every subsequent month, be construed as if 1331/3 per cent. were substituted for the percentage specified in the direction. |
