SCRAP LEAD (MAXIMUM PRICES) ORDER, 1951.

I, THOMAS F. O'HIGGINS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :--

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Scrap Lead (Maximum Prices) Order, 1951.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 26th day of May, 1951.

2. (1) In this Order the expression " scrap lead " includes scrap lead which has been re-melted into ingot form and any alloy in ingot form consisting mainly of scrap lead.

(2) References in this Order to selling shall be construed as including references to agreeing or offering to sell or to inviting an offer to buy.

3. No person shall sell scrap lead at a price exceeding a price calculated at the rate of £100 per ton, delivered free on rail, at any railway station in the State, appointed by the vendor.

4. The price specified in Article 3 of this Order is based upon the scrap lead being clean and to specification, otherwise an allowance of 4 lbs. per hundredweight must be made in accordance with the custom of the trade.

5. The Scrap Lead (Maximum Prices) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 108 of 1947 ) is hereby revoked.
