BACON, LIVE PIGS AND PORK CARCASES (EXPORT TO MINISTER OF FOOD) ORDER, 1952.

BACON, LIVE PIGS AND PORK CARCASES (EXPORT TO MINISTER OF FOOD) ORDER, 1952.

I, THOMAS WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S.R. & O., No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S.R. & O., No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)) and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Bacon, Live Pigs and Pork Carcases (Export to Minister of Food) Order, 1952.

2. In this Order--

" the Minister " means the Minister for Agriculture,

" the Commission " means the Pigs and Bacon Commission.

3.--(1) A person shall not export any bacon, live pigs or pork carcases to, or for delivery to, the British Minister of Food except under a licence issued by the Commission and in accordance with any conditions which the Commission may attach to such licence.

(2) Where any such export is effected under a licence issued by the Commission, the export shall not require authorisation by a licence under the Emergency Powers (Control of Export) Order, 1940 (S.R. & O., No. 149 of 1940), or the Emergency Powers (Export of Beef, Mutton and Pork) Order, 1941 (S.R. & O., No. 325 of 1941).

4. The Commission may, with the consent of the Minister, make and carry out such arrangements as they consider suitable for securing uniformity in amounts received by pig producers in respect of such pigs as are exported, whether in the form of bacon, live pigs or pork carcases, to, or for delivery to, the British Minister of Food.
