EMERGENCY POWERS (NO. 282) ORDER, 1943 (MILK CANS AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1954.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (No. 282) Order, 1943 (Milk Cans Amendment) Order, 1954.

2. The Emergency Powers (No. 282) Order, 1943 (S. R. & O. No. 247 of 1943), shall, in so far as it suspends a duty of customs on such of the articles referred to at reference number 12 in Part I of the First Schedule to the Finance Act, 1933 (No. 15 of 1933), as are mentioned in the Schedule to this Order, cease to have effect in respect of articles imported on or after the 2nd day of March, 1954.

SCHEDULE

Empty milk cans of a capacity not exceeding 12 gallons and of a description commonly used for the conveyance or storage of milk in liquid form ; excluding articles which are designed for use as air-tight containers.
