S.I. No. 181/1956:

FACTORIES (NOTIFICATION OF INDUSTRIAL DISEASES) REGULATIONS, 1956.

FACTORIES (NOTIFICATION OF INDUSTRIAL DISEASES) REGULATIONS, 1956.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in pursuance of subsections (3) of section 76 of the Factories Act, 1955 (No. 10 of 1955), hereby make the following regulations :

1.--(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Factories (Notification of Industrial Diseases) Regulations, 1956.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1956.

2. The notice of every case of the following diseases occurring in a factory, namely,

(a) lead, phosphorus or arsenical or mercurial poisoning, or anthrax, or

(b) any other disease to which section 76 of the Factories Act, 1955 (No. 10 of 1955), is applied by regulations under subsection (6) of that section,

required by subsection (3) of the said section 76 to be sent by the occupier of the factory to the Minister and the certifying doctor shall be in the form and shall contain the particulars specified in the Schedule to these Regulations.
