S.I. No. 162/1959:

HARBOUR RATES (WESTPORT HARBOUR) (RATES ON SEAWEED MEAL) ORDER, 1959.

HARBOUR RATES (WESTPORT HARBOUR) (RATES ON SEAWEED MEAL) ORDER, 1959.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows :

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Westport Harbour) (Rates on Seaweed Meal), Order, 1959.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the tenth day of October, 1959.

2. Section 30 of and Schedule B to the Westport Port and Harbour Act, 1853, as amended by the Westport Port and Harbour (Temporary Increase of Charges) Order, 1921, shall have effect as if " seaweed meal " were inserted in the first column of that Schedule and the maximum rate chargeable under the said section and schedule in respect of seaweed meal were a rate of one shilling per ton.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 3rd day of October, 1959.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of the Order is to permit the Westport Port and Harbour Commissioners to charge a maximum goods rate of 1/-per ton on seaweed meal.
