DUBLIN PUBLIC ASSISTANCE DISTRICT (REGISTRARS' DISTRICTS) ORDER, 1959. |

I, PÁDRAIG Ó CINNÉIDE, an tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, and section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby order as follows :-- |

1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin Public Assistance District (Registrars' Districts) Order, 1959. |
||
2. The Ballyfermot Dispensary District as constituted by the Dublin Public Assistance District (Dispensary Districts) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 56 of 1959 ), is hereby approved as a Registrar's District for the purpose of the Births and Deaths Registration (Ireland) Act, 1863 and section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863 and shall be known as the Ballyfermot Registrar's District. |

3. The boundaries of the Registrars' Districts of Clondalkin and Dublin South City No. 5 (formerly known as New Kilmainham Registrar's District) shall be altered as follows:-- |
||
(a) The area described in Part I of the Schedule hereto shall cease to form part of the Registrar's District of Dublin South City No. 5 ; |
||
(b) The area described in Part II of the Schedule hereto shall cease to form part of the Registrar's District of Clondalkin. |
||
4. A reference in this Order |
||
(a) to a road, river, railway, wall or fence shall be construed as a reference to the centre line of such road, river, railway, wall or fence ; |
||
(b) to a field identified by a number shall be construed as a reference to the field the area of which is shown as that number of acres in the 1938 edition of the Ordnance Sheet ½500 plan XVII--8, County Dublin ; |
||
(c) to an existing boundary means that boundary as existing immediately before the coming into operation of this Order ; |
||
(d) to the County Borough Boundary means the existing boundary of the County Borough of Dublin. |
||
5. This Order shall come into operation on the 21st day of December, 1959. |

PART I. |
||
Description of area taken from Dublin South City No. 5 Registrar's District (formerly known as New Kilmainham Registrar's District) to form part of Ballyfermot Registrar's District. |

The area bounded by a line drawn from the centre of Sarsfield Bridge in a south westerly direction along the Railway Line to its intersection by the existing common boundary of the South City No. 5 and Clondalkin Registrars' Districts ; thence in a northwesterly direction along the said common boundary to its junction with the County Borough Boundary ; thence in a north-easterly direction along the County Borough Boundary to its junction with the south-western wall of Phoenix Park ; thence in south-easterly and easterly directions, respectively, along the south-eastern and southern boundary walls of Phoenix Park to the intersection of the southern wall by the imaginary northerly projection of the centre line of St. Mary's Avenue, West, The Ranch ; thence in a southerly direction along the said northerly projection and Avenue to its junction with Sarsfield Road ; thence in a south-easterly direction along Sarsfield Road to the starting point. |

Description of area taken from Clondalkin Registrar's District to form part of Ballyfermot Registrar's District. |

The area abounded by a line drawn from the intersection of the existing common boundary of the South City No. 5 and Clondalkin Registrars' Districts by the Railway Line, in a south westerly direction along the Railway Line to its first junction with the County Borough Boundary; thence in south-westerly, northerly, north-westerly and north-easterly directions, successively, along the County Borough Boundary to its junction with the northern boundary of Blackditch Townland ; thence in a north-westerly direction along the last-mentioned boundary to its junction with Kennelsforth Road ; thence in northerly and north-easterly directions, successively, along the said road to its intersection by the southern boundary of Palmerstown Lower Townland ; thence in a north-westerly direction along the last mentioned boundary to its intersection by the imaginary south-westerly projection of the eastern fence of the .526 field in the last-mentioned Townland ; thence in a north-easterly direction along the said projection and fence and in a northerly direction along the eastern fences of the .519, the .497, the .613, the 11.988 and the 1.309 fields in Palmerstown Lower Townland to the termination of the eastern fence of the 11.988 field ; thence in a straight line in a north-westerly direction to the junction of the southern and eastern boundaries of the 4.384 field in the same Townland ; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned field and along its imaginary northerly projection to its intersection by the River Liffey ; thence in south-easterly, south-westerly and easterly directions, successively, along the River Liffey to its junction with the County Borough Boundary ; thence in an easterly direction along the County Borough Boundary to its junction with the existing common boundary of the South City No. 5 and Clondalkin Registrars' Districts ; thence in a south-easterly direction along the said common boundary to the starting point. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
The effect of this Order is to vary the boundaries of the Registrars' Districts of Clondalkin and Dublin South City No. 5 and to constitute a new Registrar's District to be known as the Ballyfermot Registrar's District. |
