S.I. No. 36/1961:

ELECTRICITY (SUPPLY) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1961. (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1961.

ELECTRICITY (SUPPLY) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1961. (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1961.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 20 of the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1961 (No. 2 of 1961), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1961 (Commencement) Order, 1961.

2. The first day of March, 1961, is hereby appointed to be the day on which the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1961 (No. 2 of 1961) shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 28th day of February, 1961.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to fix the 1st March, 1961 as the date on which the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1961 comes into operation.
