LEGAL TENDER NOTE FUND (ADDITIONAL FORM OF ASSET) ORDER, 1961.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Currency (Amendment) Act, 1930 (No. 30 of 1930), as amended by section 64 of the Central Bank Act, 1942 (No. 22 of 1942), and adapted by subsection (1) of section 11 of that Act, at the unanimous request of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Ireland, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Legal Tender Note Fund (Additional Form of Asset) Order, 1961

2. The asset specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby added to the list of forms of assets, contained in subsection (3) of section 61 of the Currency Act, 1927 (No. 32 of 1927), as amended by section 2 of the Currency (Amendment) Act, 1930 (No. 30 of 1930), in which the legal tender note fund may be held.

BALANCE IN GENERAL FUND.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The order adds the item " Balance in General Fund " to the list of forms of assets in which the Legal Tender Note Fund may be held.
