MONEY ORDER AMENDMENT (No. 17) REGULATIONS, 1964.

MONEY ORDER AMENDMENT (No. 17) REGULATIONS, 1964.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, on the representation of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs as testified by his Official Seal affixed hereto, and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 23 and 82 of the Post Office Act, 1908, hereby make the following regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Money Order Amendment (No. 17) Regulations, 1964.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1964.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. These Regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Money Order Regulations, 1903 (hereinafter called " the Principal Regulations"), and all Regulations amending the Principal Regulations.

5. The Principal Regulations are hereby amended by the substitution for Table A (inserted by the Money Order Amendment (No. 16) Regulations, 1960 ( S.I. No. 49 of 1960 ), and which sets out the poundage payable in respect of inland money orders) of paragraph (1) of Regulation 18 of the following table :

for an amount exceeding £25 but not exceeding £50

2s.

6d.

for an amount exceeding £50 but not exceeding £75

2s.

9d.

for an amount exceeding £75 but not exceeding £100

3s.
