The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph (a) of subsection (3) of section 1 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 , (No. 28 of 1963) hereby orders as follows :-- |

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 , (Appointed Day) Order, 1964. |
||
|
2. The 1st day of October, 1964, shall be the day appointed under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 . |
||
|

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
|
The effect of this Order is to bring into operation on 1st October, 1964, the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 , except section 1 (which is in operation since the passing of the Act) and sections 86, 87 and 88 and subsection (5) of section 92. |
