PRIZE BONDS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1964.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 23 of Finance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1956 (No. 47 of 1956), hereby make the following regulations :

1.--(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Prize Bonds (Amendment) Regulations, 1964.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 23rd day of November, 1964.

(3) The Prize Bonds Regulations, 1957 ( S.I. No. 40 of 1957 ), and these Regulations may be cited together as the Prize Bonds Regulations, 1957 and 1964.

2. The requirement imposed by paragraph (3) of Regulation 6 of the Prize Bonds Regulations, 1957, shall not apply in any case in which the cheque or warrant is paid after the commencement of these Regulations.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to dispense with the requirement that a cheque or warrant issued for the repayment of a Prize Bond or the payment of a prize must be endorsed.
