CRIMINAL JUSTICE (LEGAL AID) ACT, 1962 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1965

CRIMINAL JUSTICE (LEGAL AID) ACT, 1962 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1965

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Criminal Justice (Legal Aid) Act, 1962 (No. 12 of 1962), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Legal Aid) Act, 1962 (Commencement) Order, 1965.

2. The 1st day of April, 1965, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Criminal Justice (Legal Aid) Act, 1962 (No. 12 of 1962), shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 22nd day of January, 1965.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order fixes the date of the coming into operation of the Criminal Justice (Legal Aid) Act, 1962 .
