AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) (HORSE-FLESH) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1967.

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) (HORSE-FLESH) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1967.

I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 27 of the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby make the following regulations :

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) (Horse-Flesh) (Amendment) Regulations, 1967.

(2) The Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) (Horse-Flesh) Regulations, 1958 ( S.I. No. 84 of 1958 ), and these Regulations may be cited together as the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) (Horse-Flesh) Regulations, 1958 and 1967.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 27th day of January, 1967.

4. Regulation 6 (2) (a) of the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) (Horse-Flesh) Regulations, 1958, is hereby amended by the deletion of " green ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide that ink used for stamping horse-flesh for export need not be of a green colour.
