OIL POLLUTION OF THE SEA (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1965 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1967.

OIL POLLUTION OF THE SEA (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1965 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1967.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 of the Oil Pollution of the Sea (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 1 of 1965), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Oil Pollution of the Sea (Amendment) Act, 1965 (Commencement) Order, 1967.

2. The 18th day of May, 1967, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Oil Pollution of the Sea (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 1 of 1965), shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 16th day of May, 1967.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into effect on the 18th May, 1967, the Oil Pollution of the Sea (Amendment) Act, 1965 .
