S.I. No. 337/1973:

HARBOUR RATES (NEW ROSS HARBOUR) ORDER, 1973.

HARBOUR RATES (NEW ROSS HARBOUR) ORDER, 1973.

I, PETER BARRY, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Department Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (New Ross Harbour) Order, 1973.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 27th day of December, 1973.

2. The Harbour Rates (New Ross Harbour) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 230 of 1949 ), shall have effect as if the following were substituted for the Third Schedule:

"THIRD SCHEDULE

Maximum Service Charges.

For the use of mobile diesel crane

3.00 per hour

For mooring or unmooring ships at Pontoon Wharf

(i) ships carrying not more than 750 tons

(ii) ships carrying more than 750 tons

For attendance of harbour constable at loading or discharging of hazardous cargoes

3.00 per hour or so much of the remuneration of the constable as is attributable to the time spent by him in attendance during the loading or discharging, whichever is the greater sum

4.

For providing fresh water at Commissioners' wharves

0.20 per 1,000 gallons together with any labour charges incurred"

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order revises the rate for certain services provided for port users at the port of New Ross.
