MAXIMUM PRICES (PETROL) ORDER, 1977.

MAXIMUM PRICES (PETROL) ORDER, 1977.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965) ) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), and the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Petrol) Order, 1977.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of January, 1977.

3. The maximum price at which petrol, of a brand or brand and grade mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule to this Order at a particular reference, shall be sold by retail shall be a price calculated at the rate of the price per gallon mentioned in column (3) of that Schedule at that reference.

4. The Maximum Prices (Petrol) (No. 4) Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 265 of 1976 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the maximum price, inclusive of Value Added Tax, at which petrol of the grades set out in the Schedule to the Order, may be sold by retail.
