ELECTIONS OF CONSERVATORS (POSTPONEMENT) ORDER, 1978.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 2 (2) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1976 (No. 23 of 1976), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ), as adapted by the Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1978 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Elections of Conservators (Postponement) Order, 1978.

2. The Elections of Conservators (Postponement) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 331 of 1977 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for Article 2 of the following:

"2. The elections of conservators which, pursuant to sections 22 and 27 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), and section 2 (1) (a) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1976 (No. 23 of 1976) fell to be held in the year 1977, shall be held in the year 1979.".
