ROAD VEHICLES (REGISTRATION AND LICENSING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1980.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 12 of the Roads Act, 1920 and section 3 of the Finance (Excise Duties) (Vehicles) Act, 1952 (No. 24 of 1952) hereby makes the following Regulations:--

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1980.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1980.

2. Paragraph (a) of sub-article (2) of article 17 of the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations, 1958 ( S.I. No. 13 of 1958 ) as amended by article 5 of the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1977 ( S.I. No. 122 of 1977 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of "two pounds" for "fifty pence".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations, 1958 ( S.I. No. 13 of 1958 ) so as to provide that the existing charge for the supply of registration particulars shall be increased to two pounds.
