S.I. No. 19/1981:

OCCASIONAL TRADING ACT (SECTION 2 (2)) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1981.

OCCASIONAL TRADING ACT (SECTION 2 (2)) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1981.

The Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 (3) of the Occasional Trading Act, 1979 (No. 35 of 1979), as adapted by the Industry, Commerce and Energy (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 10 of 1980 ), hereby makes the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Occasional Trading Act (Section 2 (2)) (Amendment) Regulations, 1981.

2. Section 2 (2) of the Occasional Trading Act, 1979 , is hereby amended by the insertion in subsection 2 (2) after paragraph (i) of the following paragraph:

"(ii) selling of coins, medals, bank notes (within the meaning of the Forgery Act, 1913, as amended by the Currency and Central Bank Acts, 1927 to 1971) or tokens for coins,".

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, this 14th day of January, 1981.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of the Regulations is to exclude from the Occasional Trading Act, 1979 the selling of coins, medals, bank notes (within the meaning of the Forgery Act, 1913, as amended by the Currency and Central Banks Acts, 1927 to 1971) or tokens for coins.
