FISHERY HARBOUR CENTRE (ROSSAVEEL) ORDER, 1981.

I, PATRICK POWER, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 (1) of the Fishery Harbour Centres Act, 1968 (No. 18 of 1968), as amended by section 3 of the Fishery Harbour Centres Act, 1980 (No. 22 of 1980), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1978 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Fishery Harbour Centre (Rossaveel) Order, 1981.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 3rd day of June, 1981.

3. The area defined in paragraph 4 of this Order is hereby declared to be a fishery harbour centre and is referred to in this Order as Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre.

4. That part of Rossaveel Harbour and of the land adjoining it within the outer margin of the red line in the map on the Schedule to this Order is hereby defined as the area of Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre.

5. All the property (real and personal) in Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre of the Council of the county of Galway and all rights and liabilities of that Council in its capacity as managing authority for Rossaveel Harbour in or relating to Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre are hereby transferred to the Minister.

6. The Council of the county of Galway in its capacity as managing authority for Rossaveel Harbour, shall cease to exercise or carry out any powers, functions or duties in relation to Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order declares and defines the area of Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre and transfers to the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry from 3rd June 1981, all the property, rights and liabilities of the Council of the County of Galway within the defined area. It also provides that the Council of the County of Galway in its capacity as managing authority for Rossaveel Harbour, shall cease to exercise or carry out any powers, functions or duties in relation to Rossaveel Fishery Harbour Centre.
