TRAVEL AGENTS (LICENSING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1985.

I, JIM MITCHELL, Minister for Communications, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 7 , 12 and 25 of the Transport (Tour Operators and Travel Agents) Act, 1982 (No. 3 of 1982), and the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1983 (No. 40 of 1983), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Travel Agents (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1985.

(2) The Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1983 ( S.I. No. 101 of 1983 ), and these Regulations may be cited together as the Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1983 and 1985.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 14th day of June, 1985.

3. The Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1983, are hereby amended by--

( a ) the substitution in Regulation 9 (a) for "IR£100" of "£125", and

( b ) the substitution in Regulation 9 (b) for "IR£10" of "£12.50".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1983 and provide for an increase in fees for licences for travel agents.
