EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (NATIONAL CATALOGUE OF AGRICULTURAL PLANT VARIETIES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1985.

I, AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (National Catalogue of Agricultural Plant Varieties) (Amendment) Regulations, 1985.

(2) The European Communities (National Catalogue of Agricultural Plant Varieties) Regulations, 1981 (S.I. No. 409 of 1981) and these Regulations may be cited together as the European Communities (National Catalogue of Agricultural Plant Varieties) Regulations, 1981 and 1985.

(3) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 12th day of November, 1985.

2. Regulation 6 (3) of the European Communities (National Catalogue of Agricultural Plant Varieties) Regulations, 1981, (S.I. No. 409 of 1981) is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend existing Regulations (S.I. No. 409 of 1981) by revoking the provision relating to the charging of registration fees for entry in the National Catalogue.
