STATE GUARANTEES ACT, 1954 (AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULE) ORDER, 1988.

THE GOVERNMENT, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 9 of the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (No. 9 of 1954), hereby make the following Order with respect to which, pursuant to that section, a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Order, 1988.

(2) The State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Orders, 1957 to 1985, and this Order may be cited together as the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Orders, 1957 to 1988.

2. The Schedule to the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (No. 9 of 1954), is hereby amended by the addition to the bodies specified in the second column of that Schedule of "Aer Rianta cpt." and the insertion in the third column of that Schedule of "£25,000,000" in respect of that Company.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Instrument is to schedule Aer Rianta cpt. to the State Guarantees Act, 1954 and thereby create appropriate statutory authority for the provision of State guarantees for borrowings by that Company.
