HARBOUR RATES (DUNDALK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1989.

HARBOUR RATES (DUNDALK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1989.

I, BRENDAN DALY, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Harbours Act, 1946 , hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1989.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 3rd day of April, 1989.

2. the Actual goods rates to be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners shall, in lieu of the rates prescribed by Schedule "A" (as amended by the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 219 of 1987 )) to the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 (No. 3 (Private) of 1925), be the rates set out in Part 1 of the Schedule to this Order.

3. the Actual tonnage rates to be charged by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners shall, in lieu of the rates prescribed by section 43 (as amended by the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1987) of the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 , be the rates set out in Part II of the Schedule to this Order.

4. The Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1987, is hereby revoked.

PART II

Actual Tonnage Rates

1. For every vessel entering the harbour of Dundalk on every ton of either the net register tonnage of such vessel or half the gross tonnage of such vessel, whichever is the greater, the sum of 58p per ton.

2. For every vessel remaining in the harbour of Dundalk after the expiration of a consecutive period of six weeks on every ton of either the net register tonnage of such vessel or half the gross tonnage of such vessel, whichever is the greater, the sum of 20p per ton, per week or part thereof.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order authorises Dundalk Harbour Commissioners to charge revised actual goods and tonnage rates at Dundalk Harbour.
