The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 29 of the Social Welfare Act, 1992 (No. 5 of 1992), hereby orders as follows-- |

Citation. | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1992 (Section 29) (Commencement) Order, 1992. |

Commencement. | ||
2. Section 29 of the Social Welfare Act, 1992 shall come into operation on the 20th day of July, 1992. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
This order brings into effect, from the 20th of July, 1992, section 29 of the Social Welfare Act, 1992 which provides for the disqualification of a person under age 55 who receives a redundancy payment above a prescribed amount from the receipt of unemployment benefit for a period of up to nine weeks. |
