URBAN RENEWAL ACT, 1986 (DESIGNATED AREAS) ORDER, 1993.

URBAN RENEWAL ACT, 1986 (DESIGNATED AREAS) ORDER, 1993.

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for the Environment by section 6 (2) of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (No. 19 of 1986) which powers are delegated to me by the Environment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 128 of 1993 ), I, EMMET STAGG, Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (Designated Areas) Order, 1993.

2. The area described in Part II of the Schedule to this Order is hereby declared to be a designated area for the purposes of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 .

SCHEDULE

PART I

In this Schedule--

a reference to a line drawn along any road is a reference to a line drawn along the centre of that road;

a reference to the point where any road joins any other road is a reference to the point where a line drawn along the centre of one road would be joined by a line drawn along the centre of the other road;

a reference to a projection of a road is a reference to a projection of a line drawn along the centre of that road;

a reference to the point where the projection of a road intersects another road is a reference to the point where a line drawn along the projection of a road would intersect the centre of the other road.

PART II

Description of Designated Area

That part of the county borough of Dublin bounded by a line commencing at the point (hereafter in this description referred to as the first-named point) where Balcurris Road meets Silloge Road, then continuing in a north-easterly direction along Balcurris Road to the point where it is joined by the unnamed road which runs immediately to the south of Thomas Clarke Tower, then continuing in a south-easterly direction along that road and the south-easterly projection thereof to the point where it intersects Ballymun Road, then continuing in a southerly direction along Ballymun Road to the point where it is joined by Silloge Road, then continuing initially in a westerly direction along Silloge Road to the first-mentioned point.
