ROAD TRAFFIC GENERAL BYE LAWS 1964 (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1993.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) and section 60 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968) hereby makes the following Regulations:--

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic General Bye-Laws 1964 (Amendment) Regulations, 1993.

2. There shall be substituted for Bye-Law 32 of the Road Traffic General Bye-Laws 1964 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1964 ) the following:

"32. (1) Any person riding a horse on a road shall do so on the left hand side of the road.

(2) Any person (whether mounted or on foot) who leads a horse or horses on a road shall do so with their left hand keeping such horse or horses between themselves and the left hand side of the road.".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic General Bye-Laws 1964 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1964 ) by providing that a person leading a horse whether mounted or on foot shall do so with their left hand, keeping the horse between themselves and the left hand side of the road.
