URBAN RENEWAL ACT, 1986 (DESIGNATED AREAS) (KILLARNEY) ORDER, 1994.

URBAN RENEWAL ACT, 1986 (DESIGNATED AREAS) (KILLARNEY) ORDER, 1994.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 6 (2) of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (No. 19 of 1986) hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (Designated Areas) (Killarney) Order, 1994.

2. The area described in Part II of the Schedule to this Order is hereby declared to be a designated area for the purposes of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 .

3. Each of the areas enclosed by red lines and shaded pink on the map attached hereto is hereby declared to be a designated area for the purposes of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 .

SCHEDULE

Part I

In this Schedule:--

a reference to a line drawn along a street is a reference to a line drawn along the centre of that street.

a reference to a line drawn parallel to a street is a reference to a line drawn parallel to the centre line of that street.

a reference to the point where a street is intersected by the projection of a boundary is a reference to the point where a line drawn along the centre of the street would be intersected by the projection of such boundary.

Part II

Area west of High Street

That part of the urban district of Killarney bounded by a line commencing at the point (hereafter in this description referred to as the first-mentioned point) where the easterly projection of the southern boundary of Park Place Hotel premises intersects High Street, then continuing in a westerly direction along that projection and boundary to the point where it meets the townland boundary between Coollegrean and Killarney, then continuing initially west-wards along the last-mentioned townland boundary to the point where that townland boundary turns south, then continuing, initially in a southerly direction, along the last-mentioned townland boundary to the point where it meets the townland boundary between Inch and Killarney, then continuing in a southerly direction along the last-mentioned townland boundary to the point where it meets the townland boundary between Monearmore and Killarney, then continuing in a southerly direction along the last-mentioned townland boundary for a distance of 60 metres approximately (which point is 23 metres north of the centre line of New Street along that townland boundary), then continuing in an easterly direction along an undefined straight line parallel to New Street to the point which is 23 metres north of the centre line of New Street and 20 metres due west from the centre line of High Street, then continuing in a northerly direction along an undefined straight line which is parallel to High Street to the point on the northern boundary of No. 40 High Street which is 20 metres due west from the centre line of High Street, then continuing in an easterly direction along the last-mentioned boundary and the easterly projection thereof to the point where it intersects High Street, then continuing in a northerly direction along High Street to the first-mentioned point.
