LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1994 (SECTION 53 (1)) ORDER, 1994.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1994 (SECTION 53 (1)) ORDER, 1994.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 53 (1) of the Local Government Act, 1994 , (No. 8 of 1994), hereby orders as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1994 , (Section 53 (1)) Order, 1994.

2. The 9th day of January, 1995 shall be the day appointed for the purposes of section 53 (1) of the Local Government Act, 1994 .

this 9th day of December, 1994.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order fixes the day on which the Local Government Reorganisation Commission is formally established under the Local Government Act, 1994 .
