MARINE AND NATURAL RESOURCES (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1997

The Government, on the request of the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Marine and Natural Resources (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1997.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources conferred on the Minister by or under the enactments specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to Hugh Byrne, Minister of State at the Department of the Marine and Natural Resources.

SCHEDULE

Forestry Act, 1946 (No. 13 of 1946), as amended by the Forestry Act, 1956 (No. 6 of 1956),

Forestry Act, 1988 (No. 28 of 1988),

Fisheries Acts, 1959 to 1997, in so far as they relate to aquaculture,

Foreshore Acts, 1933 and 1992, in so far as they relate to aquaculture.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order delegates to Hugh Byrne, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of the Marine and Natural Resources, the powers and duties of the Minister under the Acts specified in the Schedule to this Order.
