I, JOHN O'DONOGHUE, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 48 of the Equal Status Act, 2000 ( No. 8 of 2000 ), order as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Equal Status Act, 2000 (Section 47) (Commencement) Order, 2000. |
||||||||
|
2. The 14th day of June, 2000, is fixed as the day on which section 47 of the Equal Status Act, 2000 , shall come into operation. |

The effect of this Order is to bring into operation section 47 of the Equal Status Act, 2000 , which is in respect of transitional arrangements for the Employment Equality Act, 1998 . |
