The Foot and Mouth (Restriction on Movement) (No. 3) (Amendment) Order 2001 |

I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 13 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) , and Article 41 of the Foot and Mouth Disease Order, 1956 ( S.I. No.324 of 1956 ), hereby order as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Foot and Mouth (Restriction on Movement) (No.3) (Amendment) Order, 2001 |

2. The Foot and Mouth (Restriction on Movement) (No.3) Order, 2001 ( S.I. No. 62 of 2001 ) is amended by the substitution for the definition of “area” of the following definition - |

“‘area’ means that part of County Louth bounded -- |
||||||
(a) on the west by an imaginary line drawn from the north side of Dundalk Harbour along the road known as the N 52 to the junction of that road with the road known as the R 173 at Ballymascanlon roundabout and from there onwards through the summit of Faughart Hill to the land frontier of the State, and |
||||||
(b) on the east by an imaginary line drawn from the land frontier of the State to the summit of Black Mountain and from there onwards to the summit of The Castle and from there onwards through the summit of the Round Mountain to the sea;”. |
