Financial Transfers (Angola)(Revocation) Order 2003

I, Charlie McCreevy, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4(4) of No. 27 of 1992 ), hereby order as follows:

1.     This Order may be cited as the Financial Transfers (Angola)(Revocation) Order 2003.

2.     The Financial Transfers (Angola)(Prohibition) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 75 of 2002 ) is hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Statutory Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

The effect of this Order is to revoke S.I. No. 75 of 2002 which prohibited Financial Transfers pursuant to Council Regulation (EC) No 1705/98¹ of 28 July, 1998 concerning the interruption of certain economic relations with Angola. Council Regulation (EC) No. 1705/98 has been repealed by Council Regulation (EC) No. 146/2003² of 27 January 2003.
