District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days and Hours (Ballyforan and Ballinasloe) Order, 2006.

The Courts Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 26 of the section 43 of the section 16 of the section 29 of the Courts Service Act, 1998 (No. 8 of 1998) and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby orders as follows:

1. (a) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days and Hours (Ballyforan and Ballinasloe) Order, 2006.

(b) This Order shall come into operation on 1^st January, 2007.

2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by -

(a) The deletion at reference 210 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5)

and

(b) The substitution at reference 81 for the matters in columns (4) and (5) of the following:

Ballinasloe- First and third Wednesday in every month at 10.30 a.m. and the fourth Wednesday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 10.30 a.m.

The area comprising-

(a) the Electoral Divisions of Ahascragh, Annagh, Aughrim (Ballinasloe), Ballinasloe Rural, Ballinasloe Urban, Castleffrench, Clonbrock, Clontuskert, Kellysgrove, Kilconnell, Killallaghtan, Killeroran, Killoran, Killure, Lismanny, Oatfield and Taghboy in the County of Galway, and

(b) the Electoral Divisions of Ballydangan, Caltragh, Carrowreagh, Cloonburren, Creagh, Culliagh, Dysart, Kilcar, Lismaha, Moore, Taghboy, Taghmaconnell and Turrock in the County of Roscommon.

3. The Second Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by -

(a) The deletion at reference 180 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5)

and

(b) The substitution at reference number 71 for the matter in columns (4) and (5) of the following:

Ballinasloe- First and third Wednesday in every month at 10.30 a.m. and the fourth Wednesday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 10.30 a.m.

The area comprising-

(c) the Electoral Divisions of Ahascragh, Annagh, Aughrim (Ballinasloe), Ballinasloe Rural, Ballinasloe Urban, Castleffrench, Clonbrock, Clontuskert, Kellysgrove, Kilconnell, Killallaghtan, Killeroran, Killoran, Killure, Lismanny, Oatfield and Taghboy in the County of Galway, and

(d) the Electoral Divisions of Ballydangan, Caltragh, Carrowreagh, Cloonburren, Creagh, Culliagh, Dysart, Kilcar, Lismaha, Moore, Taghboy, Taghmaconnell and Turrock in the County of Roscommon.

4. The Schedule to the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 161 of 1970 ), is hereby amended at reference number 8 by the deletion of -�Ballyforan,-� and -�210,-�

5. Business transacted in the District Court that is initiated and not completed before commecement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

(a) The amalgamation of the Electoral Divisions of the District Court Area of Ballyforan into the District Court Area of Ballinasloe

and

(b) additional sittings of the District Court at Ballinasloe on the fourth Wednesday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 10.30 a.m.
