AN tORDÚ LOGAINMNEACHA (CONTAE LUIMNIGH) (LEASÚ) 2008

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 2nd May, 2008.

Ordaímse, ÉAMON Ó CUÍV, TD, Aire Gnthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta, i bhfeidhmiú na gcumhachtaí a thugtar dom le halt 32(1) d’Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003 (Uimh. 32 de 2003), agus tar éis dom comhairle a fháil n gCoimisiún Logainmneacha agus an chomhairle sin a bhreithniú, mar seo a leanas:

1. (a) Féadfar An tOrdú Logainmneacha (Contae Luimnigh) (Leasú) 2008 a ghairm den Ordú seo.

(b) Tagann an tOrdú seo i ngníomh ar 1 Iúil 2008.

2. Leasaítear Roinn A den Sceideal don Ordú Logainmneacha (Contae Luimnigh) 2003 (IR 533 de 2003) tríd:

(a) ‘Dún Bleisce’ a chur in ionad ‘An Dún’ os comhair uimhir thagartha 878 i gCaibidil 1:

(b) ‘Dún Bleisce’ a chur in ionad ‘Dún’ os comhair uimhir thagartha 48 i gCaibidil 2;

(d) ‘Dún Bleisce Thiar’ a chur in ionad ‘Dún Thiar’ os comhair uimhir thagartha 76 i gCaibidil 4.

3. Féadfar na hOrduithe Logainmneacha (Contae Luimnigh) 2003 agus 2008 a ghairm den Ordú Logainmneacha (Contae Luimnigh) 2003 agus an tOrdú seo le chéile.

4. Tá an téacs i mBéarla den Ordú seo leagtha amach sa Tábla a ghabhann leis an Ordú seo.

TÁBLA

TABLEI, ÉAMON Ó CUÍV, TD, Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 32 of the Official Languages Act 2003 (No. 32 of 2003), and having received and considered advice from An Coimisiún Logainmneacha, make the following order:1. (a) This Order may be cited as the Placenames (Co. Limerick) (Amendment) Order 2008.(b) This Order comes into operation on 1 July 2008.2. Section A of the Schedule to the Placenames (County Limerick) Order 2003 (SI. 533 of 2003) is amended by the substitution of (a) ‘Dún Bleisce’ for ‘An Dún’ where it appears opposite reference number 878 in Chapter 1, (b) ‘Dún Bleisce’ for ‘Dún’ where it appears opposite reference number 48 in Chapter 2;(c) ‘Dún Bleisce Theas’ for ‘Dún Theas’ where it appears opposite reference number 75 in Chapter 4; and(d) ‘Dún Bleisce Thiar’ for ‘Dún Thiar’ where it appears opposite reference number 76 in Chapter 4. 3. The Placenames (Co. Limerick) Order 2003 and this Order may be cited as the Placenames (Co. Limerick) Orders 2003 and 2008. 4. The text in the English language of this Order is set out in the Table to this Order.

This Order changes, at the request of Limerick County Council, the placename An Dún in County Limerick to Dún Bleisce (Doon in English).
